About Dr. McGrady
My name is Kat and I am ecstatic to be your child's school counselor! Prior to counseling, I spent seven years teaching first grade in MCPS. When I am not spending time with the wonderful students and families of SES, you can find me hiking the trails or strolling downtown with my lovely puppy, Ludo, cooking some of the old southern recipes my grandmother taught me, or reading.

Somerset Counseling Mission Statement
The Somerset Elementary School Counseling Program promotes academic, personal, interpersonal, career, and overall healthy development for all students. As the school counselor, I support success for every student by providing a comprehensive program that encourages positive interactions and life skills. In addition, I advocate for students and collaborate with staff, parents, and community to provide access and equity to all students.
